New office, new sport and Commonwealth updates

It’s been a while since I have updated my blog. I have been busy by visitors and a trip to Norway, and not that much interesting have been going on. The sun is finally out and shining, so I have been trying to enjoy the weather as well!

The last three days in Glasgow have been spent on moving office. Where I used to have my office (or study hall if you prefer) is being refurbished so we had to move to Livingstone Tower. I now have a room which I share with 4 of the other girls. The room is in the 7th floor so I have a view, and I am actually quite happy with it. The best part is that this office is a lot quieter that the last one was! The only things I don’t like, are the toilets, and the fact that I have to share the internet - hope they fix that soon! (Text continues under pictures!)

On Tuesday I went to try a new sport - underwater Hockey! If you thought underwater rugby was a weird sport you should check out underwater hockey! It is really hockey on the floor of the pool! I liked the sport though, and I will be going back next week to try it again as well!

A few of you might remember that I went to an audition for a role in the commonwealth games a while back. I finally heard from them, and I only got a reserve role. Considering the fact that I can’t sing or dance, I'm not very surprised I didn't get a role, but I enjoyed the audition a lot anyways! I have also managed to sort out the whole am I allowed to work in UK issue or not as well (they asked for an EAA passport, but didn't acknowledge a Norwegian passport. I complained, they apologized!). If someone breaks their leg or something, I guess I could still get a part in the ceremonies.

I have also been published lately, although it isn’t really how I hoped to be. I asked if ISO would be interested in an article based on my thesis earlier. All they wanted was a cute story about why I decided to write about ISO. So I wrote one and then ISO changed most of my words (even my name, but I got that corrected) and now it is published. Although it wasn’t completely what I was imagining, I still think it is a bit cool!
You can look at it here: isofocus_104.pdf (page 22-25)
If anyone prefers Spanish or French, you could also get it in those languages ^^
