Church for sale!

I'm at the airport in Edinburgh waiting for my delayed flight to Trondheim for the weekend. So I thought I would share some funny pictures from the last week

I found this church, which you could actually buy. So, does anyone want to move to Glasgow and buy a church with me?

I have decided to continue with trampoline! It is so much fun! Yesterday I learned a new trick where i land on my butt, jump up, twist in the air and then land on my butt again. It will require a bit of practice before I got the hang of it though! Anyways, to continue with trampoline I had to sign up for the Scottish gymnastic association. To do that I needed to fill out this form - I am not really sure why they need to know my ethnicity or my religion for me to be able to jump trampoline though??!

Hopp hopp!

Bouncing is so much fun! But really hard - simply just jumping up and down in the same spot is almost impossible! So far I have learned four tricks, which I am still working on improving ^^

This week have been a busy one! Lots of schoolwork, but also bouncing, a ESN meeting and a party, rowing practice and I went to see the West Side Story musical! I decided to go just because the theater is the building right next to where I live, but I bought the cheapest tickets and had a terrible seat -_-
With the rowing group I tried rowing in the "tank". Basically there are 8 rowing seats in a row in the middle, and water flowing on the sides to make it feel like rowing on water! Although I prefer rowing on the water, I am glad I got to try it!

Drowning in Glasgow

It rains here. A lot. ALL THE TIME! I am actually surprised that Great Britain still exists. It should have gone under a while ago!
Except for being soaking wet, not that much have happened the last week. It might be because I have been sick. Or because everyone have had exams. Or Because it is raining. Probably because it is raining....! (Did I mention it rains ALL THE TIME?)

I went to a "fresh-fair" on Thursday. I got free pizza, but other then that it was pointless. The idea was for the volunteer organizations to  represent them self so that the students could get to know what they could do at Strathclyde. So a good idea, only that there was around maybe five different organizations there. But I signed up for the sports association, and on Monday I am off to try Trampoline! Super Excited!!! And on Wednesday I was at the board game association, which meet up, have a few beers, and play board games. I think that now that the exam period is over, it will be a lot easier to find things to do!

And the good thing with all the rain is that you really learn to appreciate the few days without it!

For those wondering what Trampolining is, have a look at this:

Nesten alt paa plass!

After a great Christmas vacation in Norway I am back in Glasgow.
I have spent the last few days organizing things. And buying stuff. Lots of stuff. Salt, pepper, oil, flour, washing soap and all those other things you usually just have at home. I have also open a bank account, received my first check from the university and gotten an English phone number.
So I guess I am all set then - now I only need to get some friends and to start working on my phd!

My bedroom! The size is alright and I have my own bathroom. So I guess all my work on hunting for a nice place to live was worth it.

George Square with its Christmas decoration. They are all taken down now though, and even the ice skating rink that was there is gone.
